Innervate on Saybia

This picture lay on my digital Desk for over a year. Requested as a commission it took me ages to develop an Idea how to illustrate a character that is played by hundrets of people, but something special as well. Since it took me forever and I grew fond of the piece it was a gift in the end.

The basic idea is to show 3 aspects of this character: She is a holy priest and therefore casts spells like "Holy Fire" and "Holy Nova" and "Circle of Healing" in golden lights. On the other hand, the main ressource is Mana and this character was well known among fellow players for never having enough of it (that changed *g*) therefore she needed other players aide with her mana. In WoW there is the possibility of getting a cast that is called "innervate" from a druid, that regens Mana. I always imagined this as the infusion with a blue fluid, but at the same time casting golden spells... mh. the third aspect is the reognission of the face. I tried to keep very close to the model, though the armor is wow-design combined with my own fancies.

I am very proud because even though its just "a pretty elve" it took some concept work and a lot of good hard polishing to finish this picture and i awoke with that feeling - YES, i can work for a long time on pictures again. And the glowing eyes when i showed the finished picture to its commissioner... i just had to start with the next picture right away *smiles*
