Artist's Comments

unbelievable, i finished a fan-art. as usual, its no fanart anymore. my aim was to create a person living in the myst-universe, but it turned into a queen, a very rich queen.

my focus was the color. since the myst-universe is not real, i needed colors, that are non-describable. I experimented on translucent things one cannot touch and transparent and very unsaturated tones, wich was a new experience for me. there are tons of thoughts about the usage and the symbols shes wearing, but i dont want to discuss this picture to the grave... its supposed to be a pretty person and sorry i gave up on the background. since it wasnt important for this picture, the mechanical bamboo should have been left out, but i couldnt imagine this picture without that anymore.

i put all in this picture i learned about colors so far and its done nearly completely in open canvas 1.1. I had to work the bigger gradients smother in painter, though.
thanks for ~luciora for constant advises.

Wow... this SO brilliantly designed, I love the coors and the soft tone of pastel grean and earthy brown.
The character itself protrays a fine women and tells a good story. I adore her eyes and her head set.
It has so much details and the leaves itself gives it lots of textures. The coloring is very smooth <3
