Artist's Comments

The idea for this picture was quite old. An alternate title would be "waiting for the thunderstorm" but then you have to read everything "backwards". Since the idea was so old I had difficulties in concentrating on that old, dried out emotion and it became something new. For "unplugged" this picture is too organized, for thunderstorm, it is too crouded.

Nevertheless I really enjoyed drawing this.

The character on the right is called Barbera. She gets contaminated with ideas, it's like a bypass, just overwhelming her.

I really wish one could recharge by putting one's hand into a fuse.

This is beyond words; I am in love with your traditional technique. I'm really speechless---the contrast between organic, wet ink washes and the tightly controled graphic penwork is so sharp it almost hurts, and by hurt I mean "feels so good."

ich mag deine bilder sehr! diesen berg an ideen als solch einen moloch darzustellen und dadurch als was eigentlich eher negatives(?) zu erklären, find ich erstaunlich. normalerweise fehlt es den leuten an ideen, und deine person auf dem bild genießt es offenbar sich "auszustö;pseln"... oder übersetze ich "ideas" falsch und du meinst gedanken? wobei es, glaube ich, keinen großen unterschied machen dürfte. oder doch?...
